The Siamese
 
This particular piece was painted whilst I was planning an online course for the company Domestika Inc.  As many of you will know I have worked with Domestika for the last 3 years and have a student base that currently stands at 80,000 participants. This Siamese was painted for my 3rd course with them. With the painting I wanted to explore painting an animal using a limited colour palette of blues and browns, using techniques such as wet into wet and wet onto dry. I love the textures that have been created in the fur and the balance between the cool blues of the eyes and the warm browns of the face and body. For harmony, you’ll notice pops of blue at the end of the tail with a little more repeated at the top of the legs. I added white gel pen for the fine whiskers details.
