a warm welcome from

Hello and welcome to my website. I’ve been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember and became a professional artist in 2013. Having moved to Bewdley, Worcestershire in 2017, I became artist in residence to the nearby Arley Estate and consequently opened artists’ studios in the village of Arley, a beautiful tranquil setting that would inspire any artist.

I’ve always had a love of nature and am constantly inspired by the birds and animals that live in the woodlands that surround my home and studio. As well as depicting wildlife, I have a real passion for teaching art and for the joy it brings to students, particularly those using watercolour and charcoals for the first time. I run weekly classes and luxury, immersive retreats throughout the year, the details of which can be on this site.

My subjects tend to be wildlife predominantly, which I render in watercolour and charcoal. I am represented in the UK by Demontfort Fine Art Ltd. and sell my originals through Whitewall Galleries, Clarendon Fine Art, various independent galleries and a number of cruise ships. Open edition prints of my work can also be bought in retail outlets such as Next, Amazon and Wayfair.

I’ve also designed artwork for educational bodies, giftware companies, breweries and bands, most recently for Robert Plant’s new band "Saving Grace".

Paintings of the Month

Have you wanted to own an original piece of art but at studio prices? Then over the next few months, I will be offering a small collection of watercolour studies and demonstration pieces that I have created over the last couple of years; each one has its own unique backstory and I’ll be sharing some of the thoughts and processes that went into making each one.

Without exception, these were a true joy to paint as they were created at a time when I was given a completely free reign on what and how to paint. They allowed me to explore new techniques, subjects and colourways. I hope that they will bring as much joy into someone’s else’s life as I had creating them.

I will also be producing a very limited run of signed and hand embossed  giclee A3 prints of each of these pieces at an affordable price. To kick off with this month, I am offering The Siamese, Marley Dreaming and Pretty In Pink.
